Experience Matters.
I’m running for City Treasurer because I want to use my professional training to serve my community. The City Treasurer is responsible for managing $300 million of taxpayer funds and I think actual investing experience is critical for the job. As a professional investment manager, I manage $500 million for 375 clients and I have a PhD in Mathematics and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. As your Treasurer, I plan to present biannually at Council meetings to increase transparency and trust within the community, something that hasn’t been happening. Increasing our investment returns can further support the city services you depend on and I am well-suited for this role. I ask for your vote for me, Michael Abram, for City Treasurer.
